Hi. Is it time to kick ass?

Break through to what's next for you—with adventure, creativity, meaning... and mischief. Career shifts. Fresh starts. Burnout recoveries. Big decisions. Total reinventions.

I’m a coach for creative people that want to change their lives and kick some ass.

Is it time?

You could decide to click, stop reading all the other stuff and we'll have a 20 minute Zoom call.
Free. No commitment.

Where’s the pain point?

I've checked all of these at one time or another.

What's with the wall?

It's an analogy.

Imagine what you want is on the other side of a huge wall.

Therapy is all about you and the wall. How did the wall get there? Who built it? Dad? Mom? Your homeroom teacher? Did you build it? And on and on and on. This ain't that..

Coaching is Yee ha! We’re going through that wall! Or over it. Or under it. Buy a ladder? Drive a Volvo through it? Perhaps we blow it the fuck up.  I know a guy that has dynamite, let’s ask him. Feeling defeated? Let’s take action to get your head straight and get back at it.

I'm invested in you taking action on your goals, dreams and vision for your life.

And at the same time, while you're pursuing the life you want, you should be loving the life you have. So, if we need to deal with your shitty boss or your significant other driving you up the wall, or your living situation, we take that on too. If you’re not basically happy, excited and brave it makes everything that much harder, and why would you want to be living that way anyway?

What this is

This is individual coaching/mentoring specific to you. It’s not a one-size-fits-all program. Our work together is designed by you and I to get you exactly what you want

  • We start with you and your story, so I can understand who you are.
  • We get clarity on your vision of what’s next for you.
  • We find the actions you can take that move you ahead and are aligned with your abilities and advantages.
  • A healthy mindset so you can love your life while working your ass off on what you want.
  • Accountability.
  • Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

What we'll do

We generally meet weekly on Zoom but you have full access to me via email, text, WhatsApp, etc.

Initially, we get an idea of your situation, then we start working out what you’re going to do that takes advantage of all of your assets—from your abilities to your portfolio of work to social network. Especially, we cultivate your ideas. I say this one phrase a lot when coaching: play your own game. I don't believe in competing with others. I believe in doing something that only you can do. That's the thing to figure out.

There’s homework and there’s respectful accountability.

We work through obstacles and issues as they come up; we shift the plan as needed. We work together for as long as needed, generally in three-month increments, but it depends on the size of the change you want to make.

And we have fun! Because if it ain’t fun, why bother?

By the way, sometimes all the wall deserves is to get pee'd on.

Who’s is this guy?

My name is Luke, so of course Star Wars. I had the most uncool name until that movie came out. Life changing.

I’ve worked as a multidisciplinary creative all my life. I’ve worked in music, audio production, theatre as an acting coach, director and playwright, design, fine art, photography, filmmaking and taught most of that at college level. My brain sits very comfortably at the intersection of creativity, technology and collaboration.

I’ve been through a bunch of reinventions, some forced on me through circumstances, some chosen, for the adventure. Often, I navigated them alone, especially when I was younger and I didn’t have a supportive social circle or mentoring figure in my life. I had to figure it by myself and it sucked. Scary and lonely, and I floundered around, wasting a lot time. I wouldn’t wish my bad experiences on anyone, but damn, did I learn from them.

And that is why I coach: I’m trying to be the person that wasn’t there for me. But there’s no going back in time, only moving forward, here I am, sixty-two, a certified life coach specializing in working with creative people.

Supportive but practical. Understanding but demanding.

And always fun! Because if it ain’t fun, why bother?

The Word on the Street

Luke is incredibly knowledgeable in all things creative. His unique approach blends psychology and coaching, helping me gain deeper self-awareness and overcome mental blocks. He’s an amazing listener with a genuine passion for helping others find happiness and fulfillment. Most importantly, I’ve learned to kick ass!

Have you ever been halfway to a dream and the only thing that you need from someone else is a nice swift kick in the pants? I did (and still do).

I wanted to get into Grad school for Creative Writing. I want to be a writer.
However, the only motivation I had was limited to what I had inside myself.

That’s when Luke came into my coffee shop one day as a friendly, chatty client and asked me what I like to do while I was making his coffee. I showed him some of my work and he believed in me.

Luke helped me with my grad school application and portfolio, giving me reminders that I’m talented and to have faith in my abilities.

In the Fall of 2025 I will be starting my Master’s of English- Creative Writing at Concordia University.

Can’t wait to see how far I can go with Luke’s wind in my sails.

Luke is an oasis of ideas. If you’re creative or stuck in an unusual situation that you think no one will understand, he’s is your destination. His wide-ranging experiences and compassion uniquely converge to provide direction suited to your specific situation. Luke’s coaching is decidedly not the generic approach taken by coaches dealing with a mainstream client base. He’s irreverent and funny, a pirate of a life coach.

I went to Luke for help with my creative efforts because knows the terrain. He’s lived it and I haven’t. Luke is highly intelligent, caring, intuitive and accomplished. It’s hard enough to find creative people with real-world accomplishments, and those who have them don’t always have the time, inclination or ability to help others.

Choosing to develop or explore my creative potential and ‘put it out there’ comes in waves. Sometimes I am up and running. Other times I don’t know why or how. I battle my doubts and demons with varying degrees of success and it’s a lonely business. Not knowing whether this is normal or necessary or if I’m stuck in a loop is where coaching has really helped. Luke always seems to know where I am on my path because he knows the terrain. Unlike subject matter experts, where the terrain is completely rational and external, the creative terrain is largely internal, more abstract and definitely more emotionaly or psychological. At least it is for me, and Luke has really helped me navigate it.

I’ve known Luke for over 35 years. He is one of the most authentic humans I have met in my nearly 50+ semi-conscious years. He cares deeply about the people he mentors and teaches, whether it be me in my pursuit of songwriting and music, or his many students when he was teaching. He is extremely patient. Luke has a keen intuitive sense that has helped me move into and through many creative moments. There is no extreme that is too far and in fact, he encourages moving as expansively as possible; all the while, he helps hold the space so you have a shoulder to lean on. I highly recommend working with Luke. You will find who you are and your life will be what you have always dreamed. Mine has through his support.
Thank you so much Luke!

After hearing me go on about my lifelong passion for music, Luke threw down a challenge: write a piece on my favorite record of all time—Random Access Memories by Daft Punk. So, I did. Then I wrote another. And another. Before I knew it, Vault of Marco was born and suddenly I have a website and a mailing list. He helped me unlock a door I didn’t even realize existed, bringing me a big step closer to my dream of becoming a music journalist.

After finishing one of the most high profile projects I have ever been involved with, I was at junction where I had to figure out what I was going to do next. I have always struggled with prioritizing and been fascinated in many areas of music creation and production, engineering and composing, and working with Luke helped me figure out what I REALLY wanted to make happen, and then to make that vision a reality, whilst also helping me navigate some particularly tricky negotiations, in a way that was so fun as well as inspirational. It felt like hanging out when we had our sessions but they were also always supremely productive. I have a mentor to brainstorm with as well as someone helping me steer in the right direction for me, now.

Something that REALLY helped was that not only was Luke coaching me as far as business development and personal development, but he, as someone who has had different roles in the music industry over decades, totally understands the worlds we work in – he is a specialist and so no time is wasted explaining how our business works or what doing something on spec means or what any typical terms and unusual customs are – he gets it, that it’s about relationships and reputation, and Luke is incomparable in terms of both. I cannot believe how lucky I am to have crossed paths with Luke and got to work with him in this way. He has also found a way to kick my ass into action at a much faster rate, while also being accommodating and flexible – a very good balance that works.

I wasn’t sure what to expect as I’d never worked with a coach before, but as soon as we started our first session I knew this was invaluable and I had found the right person to help me get to the next level and beyond.

Working with Luke helped me figure out what I REALLY wanted to make happen
